Dressing Up for the Races

The biggest events in horse racing are coming! Over the next five weeks, the races for the Triple Crown are taking place. Each of the three races holds with it the possibility of fame, glory, and triumph. The winners of the Triple Crown become legends in the horse racing community.

Things kick off this weekend with the Kentucky Derby. To get into the spirit, we want to show off our Derby Hill collection of preppy dog collars and leads.

Inspired by the equestrian lifestyle, the Derby Hill collection of leads, collars, and harnesses are beautifully crafted with a classic woven tartan pattern. They feature classy light brown, white, and black colors, with tastefully subtle red accents.

Our collection includes collars and harnesses. All of them have been designed for maximum comfort, so your dog can feel as good as he or she looks. We also have matching leads, to complete this classic preppy look.

Get into the Triple Crown excitement, and bring your dog along for the ride.

Every dog should look this good.

Come Catch us at Paws in the Park!

Save a Dog’s 15th Annual “Paws in the Park” dog walk is a little more than a week away. From 10:00am-3:00pm, rain or shine, Our Good Dog Spot will be in Sudbury, MA taking part in this wonderful event. Paws in the Park brings together dog lovers from all over the area to raise money for Save a Dog, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless and abandoned dogs. They’ve been in Sudbury for a long time, and have helped unite many dogs with loving families.

Paws in the Park will host Mike Piazza and the Flying High Frisbee Dogs, a renowned frisbee dog exhibition. Throughout the day, several activities will be going on, including an agility try-out ring, a parade of adoptable dogs, doggie games, face painting for the kids, a silent auction, food, exhibitors, and more. There will be a group walk from 11:00-12:00 for all the dogs and owners who wish to participate.

And, of course, Our Good Dog Spot will be there as an exhibitor for the entire event.

In addition to raising awareness and funding their day-to-day humane efforts, Save a Dog is currently raising money to purchase the property on which their shelter is located. They’ve rented for the past seven years, and the opportunity to buy has presented itself. So far Save a Dog has raised just over half of their goal, and donations are still open.
